Perforated AI’s software is available for academic usage to anyone seeking the best tools to push their research to the next level*. Academic usage includes those in academia who would like to use our work to publish papers as well as competitors in hackathons and software competitions.

License’s granted to enter a competition does not grant a license to the sponsor. Our software is considered commercially available software that can be procured by the sponsor as allowed by many hackathons.

The one additional agreement that is required for using a Perforated AI academic license is that you must acknowledge its use in the title of the work you produce. For papers this means in the title of the paper. For hackathons and competitions this must be somewhere that is visible from the leaderboard such as your team name or submission title. The acknowledgement must included “Perforated” and may include “Perforated Backpropagation” or “Perforated AI”.

*The software is only available for use within the United States and countries that maintain formal alliance agreements with the United States. Users outside these regions are not authorized to access, download, or use the software
