Founder Story
Perforated AI's founder - Dr. Rorry Brenner.
Dr. Brenner began his academic journey at Carnegie Mellon University, earning a degree in computer science. The basic computer vision class offered in 2009, which merely scratched the surface of advanced AI technologies, inspired him to learn how the brain performs tasks that AI struggled with.
This curiosity led him to pursue a Ph.D. in neuroscience at the University of Southern California. There, he discovered a unique mechanism in biological neurons that was absent in artificial neurons used in deep learning. This transformative revelation opened a new frontier in AI development by integrating modern neuroscience with software engineering.
Determined to bridge this gap, Dr. Brenner founded Perforated AI. The company leverages dendritic integration to create neural networks that are smarter, smaller, and more cost-effective. By combining his expertise in computer science and neuroscience, Dr. Brenner has positioned Perforated AI at the cutting edge of AI innovation, empowering data scientists with tools that bring techniques of the human brain to modern AI systems.
